Working together to improve the health of LGBTQ Californians and their families
The California LGBTQ Health and Human Services Network is a statewide coalition of non-profit providers, community centers, and researchers working collectively to advocate for state level policies and resources that will advance LGBTQ health. We strive to provide coordinated leadership about LGBTQ health policy in a proactive, responsive manner that promotes health and wellness as part of the movement for LGBTQ equality.

Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives Merger
The California Attorney General's Office is currently reviewing a proposed merger between Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives. The proposed merger would affect 31 hospitals in California and create the largest non-profit hospital system in the country.
The proposed merger could threaten access to transition-related care, comprehensive reproductive health care, and LGBTQ-affirming care. Some hospitals within the Dignity Health system currently provide transitional health care, but this merger could threaten to roll back access to care for LGBTQ Californians.
